My first Merrythought bear was brought for my brother in 1959 and then passed to me,this bear I believe must be his great granddad they look so alike,I am over the moon with him,the quality is first class,my Mum has knitted him a lovely blue jacket to match his bow,the lullaby version just makes it perfect

Having this bear for Christmas 2011 having visited the shop and chosen him. A lovely traditional bear made in the traditional way, well padded with lovely mohair fur. He will be a wonderful companion for my 1957 Chiltern bear who is still much loved. Now there are two bears to be loved as only a teddy bear fanatic can.

On my 60th birthday we visited Merrythought to choose a special bear. The curly gold mohair bears are very much in the Merrythought tradition but have their own individuality. The bear that came home with us seemed to be waving at me and he came to live with our family of Merrythought bears. He is wonderful and much loved.

This little chap is marvelous. A great companion on cold nights and good company. A blast from the past - he looks and feels vintage - like he stepped out of the 1960s!
